Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning news anchor and crime reporter at WCBD-TV. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston, about how the Charleston police handled DUI cases with leniency led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell served as co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. Additionally, she is a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
